Rumours have suggested that former Lincoln City goalkeeper Alan Marriot is set to join up with Keith Alexander again at Moss Rose.

The experienced 29 year old was surprisingly released by the Imps at the end of last season and has thought to have attracted the attention of several League Two clubs.

However, he will still have a great affinity with Alexander, as well as new signing Simon Yeo, and this could be enough to see him sign on the dotted line.

The Silkmen will be actively looking for a keeper following Tommy Lee’s departure and all the signs suggest that Marriott will be the man to fill the gap.
